By JOHN MACDONALD New York — In his recent New Yorker essay, “How To Be a Democrat,” Thomas Frank suggested that Democrats should not think of themselves as an alternative to the Republicans.
The party of Lincoln and FDR, he said, “is the party of liberal liberalism.
We have no such thing.
It’s a Republican Party of white supremacy, white nationalism, and anti-Semitism.”
If we want to be truly progressive, he wrote, “we must change our name.”
But what does that mean?
What does it mean to be an American, to be a democratic citizen?
What is our identity?
And what does it take to change our identity as a nation?
We’ve been living in a new identity for the past few years.
Our politics have shifted.
The new identity has moved from liberalism to identity politics.
We’ve begun to see how far our politics have gone, and how far it’s gone to the right.
The politics of identity have shifted from being about politics as a moral or civic duty, like liberalism, to becoming a political and social identity, like racism and white supremacy.
When you’re not in a relationship with someone who is different, you’re no longer interested in their values or their history.
The political and ideological politics of racism and identity politics have not only become increasingly racist and exclusionary, but they have been increasingly white.
We’re not looking for a political or moral code of conduct, we’re looking for an ideology that’s going to make us better people.
In this context, the Democratic Party, which has always been the party that represents the majority, is no longer just a political party, but a political ideology that has been a defining feature of our politics for decades.
For many years, Democrats, and the Democratic party in particular, were the party for the middle class, for people who made a decent living, for the poor, and for people of color.
Now, the party is the party in which most people who make a decent wage are members, the one that has embraced the idea that people can be rich and powerful and powerful people.
The Democratic Party has always had a racial dimension, and has always held the idea of economic inequality to be the moral imperative.
But now, it’s a political identity, and it’s the party where many people who are economically poor, most of whom are black, are members.
The current Republican Party is a party that is the Republican Party that has become a racist and a white supremacist party.
It is the same party that has a lot of people of different races who are members and who vote for its candidates.
The reason the Democrats are losing the white vote is not that they are losing that group, but because we’re losing that identity that they have built for themselves, and they are not building it for us.
As I’ve been writing about this, there have been lots of people who have written to me in response to this article, telling me that they want to join the Democratic caucus.
They are all saying, “We’re not a white nationalist party.
We want to get to know each other.”
They say, “I want to learn how you talk about race, because you’re talking about the real issues.”
They want to hear what kind of ideas we’re actually for.
They want the kind of policies that we actually support, and not just the kind that some people are trying to use to win.
There are a lot people who want to go back to the Democratic camp, and I understand that.
But they are really not coming back.
What is it that you can do to win the new American identity, as it is now?
The party is very important to me, but it’s not something that I have to be part of every single day.
I don’t need to be in the party every single time I’m at work.
I do not have to attend a conference, which is a huge benefit to the party.
And so I don, I do have to think about what I’m doing at the end of the day, what I have done for my country.
But it’s also a very important part of my life.
When I went to college, I was one of the first people in my family to go to college.
I went in the spring of 1965.
We went to Harvard, and we had a little bit of trouble, but I learned to love my country, and to fight for the things that I believed in.
I became a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.
I joined the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee.
I started an organization that I co-founded.
And I’m proud to say that I was part of the fight against segregation.
That’s one of my greatest achievements.
I was also part of an organization called the Young Democratic Socialist League, which was formed to fight against the Vietnam War, which I was very supportive of.
I worked as a lawyer, and also as a secretary.
I spent time in the Democratic-controlled
